Dr Aifric Boylan is an experienced family doctor based in Melbourne. She completed medical school at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and undertook specialist training as a General Practitioner. She has 10 years experience working in General Practice. Before the move to Australia, she was a member of the Executive Council of the National Association of General Practitioners in Ireland (the NAGP). She currently works as a full time family doctor in Melbourne, with a special interest in women’s health and paediatrics. She is a medical writer and commentator, covering common health issues in General Practice- her writing has also appeared in numerous publications, as well as opinion pieces in the medical press. She is the CEO of Qoctor, and is committed to innovation in the area of online medicine and health technology.

Dr. Ali Zavery

Dr Ali Zavery is originally from Nottingham, England. He trained at Guys Kings and St Thomas Hospital in London, qualifying in 2003. He worked as a GP partner in Hampshire, UK. He moved to Australia in 2013, and currently works as a GP in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. He also works in Aged Care and teaches medical students, with an honorary lectureship at the University of Melbourne.

Jeremy Forrester is the IT expert on the Qoctor team.  He has previously held senior roles in IT management, security, strategy, governance and leadership.

Dr. Weng-Tak Poon

MBChB MRCGP DRCOG FRACGP

Dr Weng-Tak Poon originates from Scotland. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, receiving the Vellupillai Ophthalmology prize in 2005. He completed vocational training in General Practice and worked in Queen’s medical centre, Nottingham and at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He was a medical examiner for the University of Manchester. For the past 5 years, he has been based in Melbourne, where he works as a GP in a busy medical practice. As a member of the Qoctor team, he is involved in developing innovative new technology to deliver healthcare online. He has a special interest in men’s health including erectile dysfunction and sexual health, and is a regular contributor to the Qoctor Health Library on these topics.

Dr. Davinder Nagah

Dr Davinder Nagah is a UK medical graduate. He studied medicine at Imperial College London and subsequently gained extensive experience in Primary Care, Geriatrics and Emergency Medicine. Having made the move to Australia in 2013, he now practices as a full time GP in Melbourne, as well as working on the Qoctor project.

Mr. Sunil Jassal

Sunny is a director and founding member of Melbourne Breast and Endocrine Surgeons. A highly
experienced Specialist Breast Cancer Surgeon, Sunny delivers compassionate counsel and care
across all areas of diagnostic and therapeutic breast disease as well as an array of common general
surgical problems.

Sunny has been in practice for over ten years and is currently expanding his role in Melbourne’s
Eastern Suburbs. He has consolidated his private practice to Mitcham, Surrey Hills and Heidelberg and
is attached to Eastern Health (Box Hill and Maroondah Hospitals), and BreastScreen Victoria.
Sunny studied medicine at The University of Melbourne and completed a General Surgical Fellowship
through Austin Hospital. He was Fellow in General Surgery at Southern Health before completing sub-
specialty training in Breast Surgery at Royal Perth Hospital where he then worked as Consultant
Surgeon before returning to Melbourne

Sunny is a foundation member of BreastSurgANZ, a member of the Australasian Society for Breast
Disease and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trial Group. He is a regular
attendee and has presented at national and international surgical and oncological conferences and is
also co-author of the highly commended “Breast Cancer. The Facts” (Oxford University Press, Second
Edition, 2019).

Prof. Lee-Suan Teh

Professor Lee-Suan Teh is a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital, East Lancashire Hospital NHS Trust, Blackburn, UK. She is also Honorary Clinical Professor in the Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK. She is education lead in rheumatology and is involved in both in-house post graduate and undergraduate teaching (at Lancaster University, the American University of the Caribbean and the University of Central Lancashire Physician Associates) as well as external teaching at the University of Manchester (MSc connective tissue disease module).
Her areas of special interest include Lupus, particularly assessment of health-related quality of life in Lupus. She is a member of the national British Isle Lupus Assessment Group (BILAG). She is a research lead in Rheumatology, collaborating nationally with other centres to undertake studies. She has published widely and is a reviewer for many international journals.

Dr Joban Sehmi

Dr Joban Sehmi is a Consultant Cardiologist at West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK. He qualified from Guys and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2003 and trained in cardiology in North West London. He has undertaken training in all aspects of advanced cardiac imaging, completing three years of sub-specialist training in cardiac imaging as part of the prestigious Imperial and the Royal Brompton fellowships. His academic interests lie in population based genomics and epidemiology.
He completed his PHD in 2013, during which he investigated genetic and environmental factors determining the increased risk of type-2 diabetes amongst South Asians compared to Europeans. He has presented at several national and international meetings, and is published in multiple scientific journals. His clinical interests are heart failure, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and all forms of cardiac imaging.

Dr. Fat Wui Poon

Dr. Fat Wui Poon recently retired as a Consultant Radiologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer from the University of Glasgow. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen and did his post-graduate training in Glasgow, with a period of secondment in Philadelphia, USA. He worked as a Consultant Gastrointestinal Radiologist and in Radionuclide Radiology in Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He set up the West of Scotland PET Centre and was the chief of that Department for many years. He was also the head of research for almost 10 years and co-investigator of a number of clinical trials. He devoted much time in both undergraduate and post-graduate medical training and in the University’s medical admissions. Dr. Poon sat on a number of Health Board as well as Government advisory and guideline committees.  He was on the Editorial Board of Nuclear Medicine Communications, reader for several peer review journals and has published over 30 peer review articles.

Mr. John Phillips

Mr John Phillips is a consultant ENT surgeon working at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He trained at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London and was awarded a degree in Neuroscience at University College London. He took up his consultant position in Norwich after completing a fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. 
 
He has experience in all aspects of adult and paediatric otology, neurotology, and medicolegal aspects of noise exposure. He has a particular interest in patients with tinnitus and dizziness- these conditions are the focus of much of his research. He is a member of the Barany society and is a medical advisor to the British Tinnitus Association and currently the chairman of their professional advisory committee.

Dr Filip Vukasin

Dr Filip Vukasin completed medical school training at Monash University in Melbourne. He spent several years working in Victorian hospitals and volunteering overseas, before completing his training as a GP. Currently he works in private General Practice, telemedicine for Qoctor, as a Cosmetic Physician and in clinical and educational roles at Family Planning Victoria. He also volunteers for medical school admissions at Monash University.

Dr Monica Poziemksi

Dr Monica Poziemksi is a GP based in Sydney. She completed medical school in the University of Tasmania, and undertook specialist training as a general practitioner in Sydney. She has a special interest in patient education, and through her medical writing, covers common health issues in General Practice.

Dr Anita Calalesina

Dr Anita Calalesina is a Perth-based GP who graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle in 2010, and has worked in various GP practices throughout Western Australia. After doing extensive hospital training in both adult and paediatric medicine, she also completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in the UK and has a special interest in travel medicine and infectious diseases. Dr Calalesina returned to pursue further training in General Practice and completed her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2016. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, and is also passionate about teaching and tutoring medical students. Dr Calalesina is committed to ongoing professional development, and enjoys contributing to the Qoctor medical literature library.

Dr. Jillian Lau

Dr Jillian Lau studied medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, qualifying in 2008. She specialised in Infectious Disease, and currently works at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. From an academic point of view, she is involved in research into HIV cure.
