Flixotide Accuhaler

Flixotide Accuhaler is a preventer inhaler used to treat asthma. It contains a steroid (Fluticasone) which reduces inflammation in the lungs. It is usually taken regularly, twice a day to maintain ongoing asthma control. It comes in two strengths- Flixotide Accuhaler 250mcg and 500mcg- the dose you need depends on your symptoms and the advice of your doctor.  Flixotide does not help sudden attacks of breathlessness or wheezing- in this situation it is important to use a fast-acting reliever inhaler such as Ventolin, and to seek immediate medical attention if your symptoms do not improve. All people with asthma should make an action plan with their doctor to help manage their symptoms correctly.
